A personal injury lawsuit was filed by Searcy Denney’s Mass Tort unit against Bard and Davol, one of the largest manufacturers of hernia mesh surgical products in the world.

The case was filed on behalf of a Pompano Beach, Florida woman who suffered significant complications after the recalled hernia mesh product inserted into her body several years ago failed resulting in protracted hospitalizations, testing, and medical treatment.  This case will be transferred to the multi-district (MDL) litigation proceedings pending in federal court in Providence, Rhode Island, where more than 1,000 lawsuits have been pending for several years involving patients who received various types of Bard/Davol Kugel and Composix hernia mesh products and suffered serious injuries or died after the products broke or buckled resulting in bowel perforations, bowel strangulation, adhesions, fistulae formation, and other serious side effects.
